Unplugged days: Busy and peaceful

S hung up the thrifted mirror. It looks good in the bathroom though I didn’t get used to it at first. It was quite dominant compared to the other things. But it doesn’t need to be matchy-matchy or perfect. I changed the paintings, making the space look much better: less busy and more serene. I’m going to buy a rug and am waiting for S to paint the room. He likes light taupe, instead of the creamy white used for the whole house. I didn’t want to break the color flow of the space but since the bathroom is a small and closed area and S’s recommended color is neutral and soft, the difference will be just subtle.

My memory just sucks. Bought fish but instead of putting it in the freezer, it grabbed it together along with a trash bag and threw it into the outdoor trashcan. Didn’t remember until several days later after having looked everywhere inside the fridge. Also, bought Auntie Anne’s pretzel bread and left it in the trunk; again, looked for it but couldn’t find it until now.

I’m busy. Trying to be more organized and disciplined. Scheduled for a donation pickup in a few days, will have to sort things out. Haven’t done it for 1.5 yrs since we moved into this new house. Will be extra busy.

Learning to love and take care of myself. Not easy but I’m determined to change.

Going through peaceful and beautiful days (though had moments pissed at myself). Feel blessed.

Priorities tomorrow?

S painted the bathroom. Not finished yet; still needs another coat. It looks quite different from that same color on the wall in the kitchen nook (S used that color to paint around the trims of the new window he installed recently and never repainted it). It looks much darker, more like mud than milk coffee. That makes sense because the kitchen nook is an open space and has much more light, both artificial and natural. Honestly, the color looks kind of depressing, yet has a serene vibe. I hope when S finishes painting and I put up paintings and decorations on, it will carry some serenity. Will post photos of the finished bathroom soon.

Don’t know what to feed M tomorrow. Thinking banana honey pancake, blueberries and goat cheese for breakfast; fried sweet potatoes, stewed beef, broccoli, and grapes for lunch,…

Priorities tomorrow? Wrist exercises

Some dishes I’ve cooked this week:
